About Us

In April, 2009, Life Fellowship held its first Sunday morning service in the living room of Mark and Christine Johnson, the founding pastors. One year later, the church moved into its first location in Kemah, TX.

We’re currently meeting as a family at Kemah Gardens every Sunday at 10 am.

Life Fellowship is a church that is Bible-based, Christ-centered and worship-driven. It is built on the foundation that our relationship with Jesus is vital for our lifelong process of spiritual health and growth.  Our desire is that all should come into unity with Christ and His purpose and plans for us.

We welcome all people who are interested in learning about Jesus and His teachings. Our mission is for everyone to develop, maintain and model personal intimacy with Jesus Christ.

Our Story

Mission

To develop, maintain and model personal intimacy with Jesus Christ.

Vision

To become disciples who will impact the world with the love of Jesus Christ.

Our Beliefs

 Key Scripture

"Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do His work and build up the church, the Body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God's Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ." Ephesians 4:11-13 (New Living Translation)

Our Values

  • Our understanding of God's great, unconditional love for us is the basis for all our relationships. When we realize how much we are loved, how much God values us, we are able to understand our worth. We can then appreciate the worth of others as we realize that Jesus died for all of us.

  • We believe prayer is our communication with God and critical in the growth of our relationship with Him. In our times of daily prayer, we learn to speak and listen to the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that we demonstrate our love for God through obedience to Him and His Word.

  • Pride and arrogance are antithesis to God's love. We must remain humble and not allow pride to dominate our relationships, our actions or our attitudes. Humility is not a weakness; it is a strength demonstrated through love, kindness, teachability and a genuine concern for others.

  • Our willingness to learn about God and continue to grow in Him keeps us humble and allows Him to use us as He desires. Teachability is not only about being taught, it includes effectively teaching and mentoring others.

  • Unity is a vital core value of Life Fellowship. It fosters health and edification versus division and the tearing down of each other. The strength of our cause for His Kingdom is greatly improved when we come together in one accord. We are all part of His Body and when we are in unity, we are more effective in completing the mission God has called us to, demonstrate an improved impact in the lives of others around us and experience greater individual enjoyment while minimizing issues that can be emotionally and resource draining. Although we may not agree on everything, it is important that we do agree on the basic foundational truths taught in the Bible.

  • We become the hands and feet of God as we serve one another and reach out to those around us in League City, Kemah, Seabrook, and the surrounding areas. Serving demonstrates our commitment to God and each other.
